oh please - please do this - there's nothing available short of popping open terminal and typing out "open /my/path" . this is such a useful feature for those of us that do a lot of file management/ftp and scripting - Konqueror does a bang up job of this since you can actualy use fish:// to get to remote folders via SSH - also directly navigating to smb:// shares etc would be as simple as typing the path. it's awesome from every perspective!
