This feature goes hand-in-hand with merging of two folders during copy/move operations.
This is one of those small features which make a big difference to file operations. (I hate to say, but this feature has become standard in the Windows world!.... How is it possible Mac doesn't have some of the basic features of Windows???)
For this reason, I still use windows-explorer (in Parallels) while copying/merging folders, to avoid the costly mistake of over-writing new files with old ones. It's a terrible solution, but necessary...

Pleeeeeeeease....
As a purchaser of Pathfinder, and a Windows convert...1. There is a serious lack of tree-view file explorers in the Mac market. Adding this feature would undoubtedly make pathfinder stand out amongst the crowd. (To be honest, there is a flood of "pathfinder-like" products out there..... which are all just an 80% copy of Finder!). A quick Google search will confirm the absolute lack of this feature for the Mac.
2. Especially for the Windows converts out there, tree-view is a must - and the truth is, most are totally lost without it (at least, to start). I understand the Finder way has it's benefits, is better about some things/etc, and all the arguments in that direction. That is true. BUT, the fact remains unchanged - the numerous Windows converts are simply not used to the finder mentality, and they REQUIRE an easy to use (for them), intuitive, way to interact and work with their files. Working with files is a fundamental requirement of using the computer.. and something most Windows converts struggle with. Adding this feature to your product would appeal to all those users who so desperately feel this need.
This is especially important for the increasing number of people who use their Mac at work. Mac market-share is gaining, and those gains come largely from PC converts. The problem is, workplaces are most often PC dominated, including the servers, and this requires constant use of PC server paths.
Better support in this regard would be most sincerely appreciated.
