The original shortcut for selecting the filter bar was control-tab, but it conflicts with one of OS X’s system-wide shortcuts. We’re looking for an alternative, so please post your suggested shortcut in the comments.

Oh and a keyboard shortcut (or menu item so I can assign my own) for the friggin filter input top right. I have toolbar minimised (as a keyboard-focused power user) and the filter input is so powerful yet I can't really use it as its such a hassle to expand the toolbar, click, not pull out hair, type my filter.

fudge... i just commented and wasted 3 votes on another topic when I should of voted here. I really want this! Also be nice for it to work with the Toolbar collapsed like Safari: trigger filter, toolbar expands, type request, enter/esc collapses toolbar again.
