Enable closing folders with the left-arrow in list view

In Finder, and in many other folder tree-view implementations, when the focus is on a file inside a sub-folder, typing the left-arrow moves the focus up to the containing folder and closes it (hiding its contents).

Without this behavior, there's no way to quickly get out of and close a sub-folder except repeatedly hitting the up-arrow key, and then the left arrow when the focus is on the sub-folder.

The shortcut I'm describing makes it much easier to keep hands on the keyboard while browsing a tree-view. This is an important point for users who don't like the mouse.
