Use the "tab" key as a default for switching panes

Actual, there is no possibility for changing the panes without using the mouse. it will be helpful to change with a keystroke. I suggest, using the "tabulator" key as a default for this action.

Tab is already taken, but we’ve added Control-Tab as the keyboard shortcut for switching panes.

        [PF 5.1.9 (704) on OS-X 10.5.7]
Not sure if this is completed or not (because I can't view the full history of this request (stupid web site), but I do see a recent comment of Michael saying there's a conflict with a built-in OS-X key combination?).

Anyway, for me, this doesn't work. When I use Control-Tab it switches through all the elements on the application (toolbar buttons etc.). I hope there is / will be a key-combination solely for the purpose of switching from one pane to the other and back.

I think forcing the user to grab a mouse for 50-times-a-day operations like these is really a shortcoming of the application.

I agree that switching panes needs a keyboard method. xplorer2 for windows uses this and it's very intuitive. Al
