Dual pane - one click copy/move
Hi - have a look at Total Commander in the Win World: When I click copy in the top menu bar it just copies from one pane to the other.

I enquired about these features in the forum here: http://support.cocoatech.com/discussions/problems/1230-pre-sales-questions
And the reply was:
"1. You can vote for that already suggested feature on the Feedback Page.
2. the Tab key is a reserved system hotkey and cannot be changed."
I wonder how many more votes are needed. There are already 451.
If the Tab key is reserved and cannot be changed, I wonder how it is possible in ForkLift. It is also possible to set F5 and F5 to copy and cut files between the panes in ForkLift.

I was looking to buy PF, but if it takes this long to implement a feature...well, it doesn't really fill one with confidence like some devs do.

This is the one feature keeping me from using PF6 over Forklift.

Second pane is useless without possibility to copy/move/switch between them (F5/F6/Tab). I don`t understand how it can be missing???

Most amazing missing features in Path Finder 6:
still no command plus keyboard shortcut for copy + move from pane 1 to pane 2.
can't use tab to switch panes. -

+1 to these. Trying to find a decent mac Total Commander replacement that works (or can be configured the same)
tab : switch panes (not sure why I cannot configure the short cut from opt-cmd-' to tab for this)
f2 quickview
f5 copy
f6 moveJust a bit to clunky to do these operations at the moment so no buy, shame as is the most fully featured TC replacement there is.

Status is planned... what is the ETA?
Commander style operations and PF-keys are essential! -

This is a MUST! I am currently using Forklift, but it keeps locking up on me. Disk Order works this way too but the interface is old.

I want to switch from Forklift to Pathfinder. the only thing from holding me back is this very important missing feature. PLEASE add it to the next version so I can switch.
Thank you in advance,

It could be implemented as standard behavior in dual browser mode, leaving the current mode (dialog) as an alternate keyboard shortcut option; the opposite in single browser (or multi-tab) mode. I totally agree with Commander style supporters. I also strongly support TAB to switch between panels. And configurable Keyboard shortcuts.

Yes PLEASE, tab to move from one window to the other and F5 F6 for copy and move as in Windows Total Commander.

+1 for one key copy/move between the panels and switching between panes.
It is kind of unbelievable that a dual pane file manager misses some of the key and most basic features of the whole concept. And to top it all, these are rather easy to implement (i.e. for copying open the Copy to... view but with the initial path set to the the other pane's path).

Yes!!! PLEASE add this feature!!!! We need f5/f6 to copy/move and tab to change the panels! Now I'm using forklift to do this and it works but I want to switch to pathfinder because it's a much advanced app.

Commander-style marking, navigation and operations would Sell me on Path Finder. I'm stuck using MuCommander in conjunction with the finder. Dual-pane is so close! Please spend the time to push it over the line

Please provide configurable keyboard shortcuts for transferring files/folders between panes!
Imho that's a very basic functionality.
(Could be cruzial request for blind or visually impaired users …)
