Indicate clearly in the dual pane view which one is active
It's very hard to see now which pane is currently active in the dual pane view because it is not indicated at all. That's a problem when replacing the contents of a pane by clicking for instance on a favorite in the sidebar. Then I can't see which pane will be replaced, so I always have to click the one I want to replace to make sure. It's annoying, and an easy thing to fix.
Path Finder 6 will indicate the active pane by coloring the tabs and path navigator.

This is often very annoying, as it is difficult to see which window is paired with the sidebar in the dual pane mode.
I think that the dual pane browser mode would be greatly improved if both windows could have their own constant sidebars and not use a common sidebar, as it is currently in PathFinder. Now you have to switch panels constantly back and forth, in order to pair them with only one sidebar.
TotalFider app has exactly this feature http://totalfinder.binaryage.com/dual-mode

I've been frustrated by this exact point for some time now and it just came to top of mind for me again this evening as I was doing extensive file movement within Path Finder. PLEASE provide us with a way...maybe via a Color Option.

Hear hear! Also, a keyboard shortcut for switching focus between the two sides of the dual pane would be terrific.
