It would be nice to save spotlight searches and path finder searches

GREP Search
Employ regular expressions (patterns) in search. I'm new to you product so if you already have it, I have not found it yet.

Search Needs to Be Far More Powerful to Completely Replace the Mac Finder Spotlight and Be "Complete"
1) We need the full power of Spotlight find queries in Path Finder. We need the full range of search attributes that OSX has such as "last opened" and the 100 other types of searchable meta data not available for search in Houdah or the Mac Finder but yet unavailable for searching in Path Finder.
2) The find window is very limited...and therefore very UNLIKE Path Finder. Why do we not have the full power of P.F. for our search results? Make no sense in such a logical program. If you feel that the search results need to be displayed… more

Add "Find" as an option for the context menu.
I want to be able to right click a folder, choose find, and then have that bring up the find window with it set up to search within the folder I right clicked on. Coming from Windows, this seems pretty basic since every search utility I've ever used supports this. Having to open the find window, choose "Others...", and then browse to find the folder I want to search is very cumbersome since I'm rarely searching a folder that I've searched before.

Apply filtering to expanded folders in list view
Filtering has to pertain to what the user sees, not what the items are. That means that in list view mode with expanded folders, the filtering also has to apply to the visible content of folders (the content that the user sees because the folder is expanded / un-collapsed). Or anything the user sees. It would really help sorting files.

Filter with subfolders
I use filter all the time. Great feature. I wish there was an option to include subfolders.

Filter files by label
I would like to be able to use "label" as a criteria in the file filter.

allow searching for a list of files
At work I frequently have to search for a large number of files. It would be really nice to be able to enter all the filenames I'm searching for into a box, separated by commas or semicolons, and have pathfinder search for all the files at once, presenting me with a combined list of results

Support Lion's Spotlight search tokens
Currently, the search field is not usable in "Spotlight mode" when Finder is not running. Please make this work, and also support Lion's "search tokens" - perhaps even without Spotlight, by manually searching by file name, date, etc. when another search method is selected.

that for "modified" and "created" you allow a "before a given date" as well as "after a given date"
this would allow a better narrowing of the time when looking for a file that was created or modified around a given time

Add Columns for: sort files by the Installation date and The Company Name
I would like to be able to sort applications, plugins, etc by the date that I installed them. There is a "creation date" and "modified date" but these seem to be related to when the developer created the installer not when it was installed by the user.
Also it would be useful to sort applications (plugins in particular) by the company/developer name.

Save search templates for folders, extensions, date ranges, etc.
Allow the user to fill in a name later. This would save multiple steps to get to a narrower Find operation.
Provide a drop-down menu for these saved templates3 votes -
Using Find: Make the selection of drives to be searched always visible, with a check next to them
Presently you have to open the box to see which drive(s) or folders are being searched. You should be able to check off a box to search anything and this check list should remain visible to give you information about what you are searching.

Multiple file search using a file list
I need a way to search for multiple files in a folder at once, using a text file list. I am always searching for hundreds of image files in folders containing ~10K images. Searching one by one using the finder is painfully slow. It would be great if I could just copy and paste my list of filenames from my excel list, into a bulk search window, and have pathfinder select all the results. That would save me so much time!

Sort by ID3
For the love of all things holy add sorting by and editing of ID3 tags. Windows Explorer has been doing this since 2001!

Find feature by time and not just date
Find is possible only by date, but when I know the time the issue happened, this would be better.

Allow editing columns in Find feature
So that I can, for example, sort my search results by file extension.

Context menu item to perform Edit > Find > Find within selected folder
Currently, performing either a file system or Spotlight content "Find" operation requires many steps: Open the Find panel, click the "Others" tool bar button (not obvious), click "+", find the desired folder, add it to the list, close the Search In dialog, finally enter your Find criteria and search.
As a shortcut, add a context menu item for a selected folder, "Find Within". The Edit > Find > Find panel would appear with the selected folder already set as the target of the find operation. All those steps above would be replaced with a single click of a menu.
