Disable Menu Bar Icon?
I think it'd be really great to have the option to disable the menu bar icon. I have quite a few menu bar icons & NEVER use the Path Finder icon. It'd be nice to have the ability to turn it off. Anyone else agree?

Customizable desktop contextual menu
It'd be nice to have a configurable desktop menu that can be selected with a mouse button ( middle or left ) on the desktop. It's a but more X like .. but being able to select Terminal with ssh ( or a pathfinder bookmark say ) organized the way i'd like it would be really nice.

Desktop image does not change automatically
When I show Path Finder's desktop (I mean the option available from the "Path Finder" top menu), my desktop image never changes. According to my desktop settings, a new random image should be displayed every few minutes and it isn't. The solution is to hide Path Finder's desktop and then everything works fine.

Enhanced copy path feature
When copying a file name in the windows style ( e g \\volumes\docs\xxx\yyy) a option should allow user to alias part of file path (e g \\volumes\docs --> F: , \\volumes\tools --> O: , ... ). By that way pf will copy F:\\xxx\yyy and exchanging file path with windows users will - at least - be simple ...

New browser option in global applications menu
When I'm in a space with no PF browsers, I click on PF in the menu, which takes me to another space with an open PF browser, where I can create a new browser, and then drag it to the space I was in previously. Not so friendly.

Send each tab as single window into Default Folder
I use Default Folder, which has very nice feature - you can easily access all opened windows in Finder in open/save dialogs via menu. I use also Path Finder as a complete replacement for Finder, and the main problem is, that in this Default Folder's menu, there is only listed the currently active tab in Path Finder. So even if you have opened 10 different tabs in Path Finder, windows menu in open/save dialog with Default Folder allows you navigate only to the active tab.
I am not programmer, but I think the problem would be solved if Path Finder… more

Recent folder section in the side bar
As the "recent files" section in the side bar, add a "recent folder" section.

Simple Light Version
A simple finder replacement that brings back colored icons in sidebar, adds tabs & drop stack would make for a great "light" version of PF.

Placement of desktop objects when creating new
When creating new or copying files/folders on the desktop using the contextual menu, place those files/folders at the exact mouse location, similar to the W*** environment. Currently, the object is placed almost randomly, making it more difficult to locate

Different backgrounds on different Spaces
When you set a different desktop wallpaper for each Space in Finder (in Lion) it works only in Finder. In Path Finder, you can only have the same desktop background for all Spaces.

mount iphone
Like under Windows, when connecting iphone, it would mount as any other external devices on the pathfinder window...
